A. Yes, in many cases you can. If you were married in Korea, lived together in Korea, or your spouse currently resides in Korea, Korean courts may have jurisdiction over your divorce. Our firm handles international divorce cases remotely, and you may not need to physically appear in court for every hearing.
A. A contested international divorce in Korea typically takes 6 months to 1.5 years, depending on the complexity. Consensual divorces require a mandatory cooling-off period of 1-3 months. Cases involving overseas assets or child custody disputes may take longer. Our attorneys work to resolve cases as efficiently as possible.
A. If your divorce involves Korean courts, having a Korean attorney is essential. Korean court proceedings are conducted entirely in Korean, and Korean family law has unique features (like mandatory divorce counseling and cooling-off periods).
